150 Year Tumbulgum and Lantern Festival

Lissy Stanton – Tumbulgum 150 yr Festival 12th November 2016

Lissy Stanton originally from Nimbin now resides in Tumbulgum . Lissy is a nationally recognised touring and recording artist and has shared the stage with performers Phil Emmanuel, Anya Nissan (The Voice), Kasey Chambers and recently Matty Rogers who has just landed a Byron Fall Festival spot.

Passionate and down to earth, Lissy’s fresh, original piano driven songs and gorgeous vocals combined with her genuine warmth on stage, have made her a much loved performer on local, national and international stages.

Lissy’s lineup today include Marty Handley on guitar from Goanna , Phil Eizenberg on bass from The Ferretts and Luke Stanton, Lissy’s son on drums from CLSCO.

Lissy, when not touring and performing, mentors youth on how to be part of the music industry and preparing young ones for performances. As part of her music mentoring, Lissy has been preparing the children from Tumbulgum Primary School to perform at the Festival. These came from early discussions with Donna Martin and Jenny Kidd, on including the future of Tumbulgum, our children, in the celebrations. This has been a wonderful sharing of skills with Peter Graham,

(Tumbulgum Music Teacher), Brenda Stuttle (Pastor at Living Waters Church

Tumbulgum) and Jenni McKeon (Tumbulgum School Principal).
